Program Terms & Disclaimer
Version 2026-10-02 · Last updated 2 October 2026
This document is being reviewed by our legal advisers and may be updated. The version in force is always the one published on this page.
These terms apply to enquiries and applications for the Global Honorary Doctorate of Excellence and the International Human Rights Grand Seminar, to be held at HEMISFERA, KL Tower, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the 1st week of December 2026 (the “program”). Please read them, together with the Privacy Policy, before submitting your details.
1. Honorary recognition — not an academic degree
The Global Honorary Doctorate of Excellence is an honorary, non-academic recognition. It acknowledges professional experience and contribution. It is not:
- an academic doctorate, PhD or any other academic degree, diploma or qualification;
- awarded by, accredited by or affiliated with a university, education regulator or accreditation body;
- evidence of the completion of any course of study, research or examination.
Academic doctorate (PhD): a university degree earned through years of supervised study, original research, a thesis and examination. Honorary doctorate: a recognition conferred to acknowledge a person’s achievements or contribution, with no coursework or thesis. It must not be presented as an academic qualification in any résumé, profile, application or official document.
2. Use of the “Dr.” designation
The recognition is associated with the “Dr.” designation as stated by the awarding organisation. Kotian Ventures makes no representation that recipients are legally entitled to use the title “Dr.” in any country, profession or context. The use of titles may be restricted by law or by professional and regulatory bodies (for example in medicine, law and academia). Recipients are solely responsible for checking and complying with those rules before using the title.
3. Eligibility, review and approval
The program is designed for professionals with 10+ years of experience in their industry. Participation and recognition are subject to the organisation’s eligibility and profile review and approval process. Submitting the form is a request for an eligibility review only: it does not guarantee selection, participation or recognition. Payment of any fee does not, by itself, guarantee recognition unless the organisation confirms so in writing. The organisation may decline any application.
4. Fees
The total processing fee is ₹1,50,000/-, excluding GST. Applicable taxes, the payment schedule, accepted payment methods and any other commercial terms will be communicated in writing by the program team before any payment is requested. No payment is collected on the program page.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Refund and cancellation terms will be provided in writing by the program team before any payment is requested. Please read them carefully before making any payment.
6. Travel, accommodation and meals
According to the program, a round-trip air ticket and 2 days of accommodation are sponsored by the organisation, and breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 days are sponsored. Travel dates, departure city, flight class, hotel and schedule will be confirmed by the program team. Passports, visas, travel insurance, personal expenses and any costs not expressly listed are the participant’s responsibility unless confirmed otherwise in writing. Participants are responsible for meeting the entry requirements of Malaysia.
7. Global Investor & Business Network
The program includes access to a Global Investor & Business Network for networking and introductions. No investment, funding, financing, business opportunity, partnership or financial return is promised or guaranteed. Nothing in the program or on our website is financial, investment or legal advice. Participants should carry out their own due diligence before entering into any business arrangement with anyone they meet.
8. Recognitions and endorsements
The recognitions associated with the event — the Global Honorary Doctorate of Excellence, Bharat Gaurav Samman, Rashtriya Bharat Gaurav Samman and International Human Rights Appreciation Award — are conferred by the awarding organisation(s). They are not government awards. Nothing in the program materials states or implies endorsement, approval, accreditation or attendance by any government, ministry or public authority of India, Malaysia or any other country.
9. Changes to the event
The date, venue, schedule, speakers, inclusions and format may change because of circumstances outside the organisers’ reasonable control. Any material change will be communicated by the program team.
10. Images and content
Photographs on the program page are licensed stock images used for illustration. The people shown are not past participants, recipients or speakers. Descriptions of the recognition kit are indicative of the items included.
11. Organisations
Kotian Ventures, International Human Rights and WECME Advisory Sdn Bhd are associated with this campaign. Each organisation is responsible for its own role, statements and obligations in connection with the program.
